In this document, "We" shall refer to 250Free and its parent company, iSight, Inc.   "You" is the person legally eligible to sign-up for services at 250Free.

Age of Eligibility

You must be at least thirteen (13) years of age to use any services at 250Free.  Those under the age of thirteen may not join 250Free.

Multiple Accounts

One account per person is permitted. Don't even try to sign-up for multiple accounts. We use several methods to track every sign-up at 250Free.  Users found joining multiple times will have their accounts deleted and will be banned from joining any service at 250Free.

Unsolicited Communication

Unsolicited Mail
Unsolicited Mail, a.k.a. "SPAM", is not allowed at 250Free.  You may not reference 250Free, any 250Free member, or URL linking to any 250Free network site in a mass mailing, mass newsgroup posting, or any other form of unsolicited communication.  This includes electronic and print communication.  Our Unsolicited Mail policy is very strict.  Violation will result in immediate account removal, without prior notification.  Determination of violation remains 250Free's sole discretion.

Doorway Pages
An account created primarily for the purpose of increasing rankings in search engines is not permitted.  A doorway page is content that includes a set of phrases, or a "fake website", that is meant to induce visitors to click a link.  Common tactics include posting a URL, solely for this purpose, in guest books, mail forms, or log files. This is considered unsolicited communication and violation will result in immediate account removal.

Unacceptable Content

250Free offers members great freedom in what they can post on their individual sites.  But we have some restrictions in what we deem to be unacceptable content.

Hate
Content which promotes hate or violence of any topic, including gender, race, or sexual preference, is strictly prohibited.  Violation will result in immediate account removal without warning.

Adult Content
Adult Content, otherwise known as Pornography or Erotica, is strictly prohibited.   You may not host Adult Pictures or Adult "stories" on your website.   Violation will result in immediate account removal without warning.

Obscene Material
Content that is considered obscene under U.S. Federal and Local law is prohibited.

Intellectual Property
You agree that all content on your site was authored by you, or you have received permission to use the material.  Your site may not contain material you do not own or do not have permission to use.  This includes material that is: copyrighted, trademarked, protected by trade secret, protected for the sake of national security, or other content protected by intellectual property rights.

Use of Content

You agree to allow 250Free to post your site URL (Uniform Resource Locator).   250Free and iSight, Inc. may use content from your site for the purposes of Marketing and Public Relations.  Such use may include, but is not limited to, print, web, and ad banner advertising.  You retain all rights to content authored by you.

Reasonable Use

We strive to make your site load as reliably and quickly as possible.  250Free wants to be fair to those who are properly using our services.  Sites that abuse our systems or network will be removed without warning.  Sites that excessively tax our system resources or bandwidth may be put on hold or removed from our system.  It remains 250Free's sole discretion in what constitutes excessive usage.

Account Dormancy

Your account is considered dormant if there is no activity within the Account Manager for a period of 12 months. Access to site content will be suspended until successful login to the Account Manager. The site will instantly reactivate after login. Your account will be completely removed after 16 months of no login activity. The account and files cannot be recovered once removed. Members with an active Platinum membership are not subject to this requirement.

Payment

Free membership requires no payment. We offer premium services for purchase, which you may take advantage of at any time. The following apply to any purchases made at 250Free.

One-time Purchases
One-time purchases are billed only once. Until you explicitly choose to renew service with 250Free, your membership will expire and the end of its term.

Automatically Renewing Purchases
Your service and payment obligation will continue unless you contact 250Free with a request to cancel service at least two days before your next billing period is due. You agree to have the amount due for services automatically deducted from your credit card each billing period.

Refunds

Refunds will be given for remaining unused months of pre-paid services, provided you contact us at least two days before your next billing period. Unless explicitly stated, refunds are not given for the current month of service. Service may be cancelled at any time by contacting us.

Advertising

Free accounts will have advertising banner code placed within HTML pages.  You may not attempt to subvert this code by preventing its execution or covering the advertising in any way.  All advertising must be fully viewable.  Accounts found to be in violation will be removed without warning.  If you are interested in removing advertising from HTML pages, the Platinum membership upgrade will remove advertising.  Platinum accounts do not contain advertising on HTML pages.

Network Security

Unauthorized use, probing, or scanning of data to obtain sensitive information, test the vulnerability our systems or network is strictly prohibited.  Unauthorized monitoring of our network, systems, or users of 250Free is strictly prohibited.

Your password is considered sensitive information.  You may not share your password with any third party.

Illegal Use

250Free may be used only for lawful purposes.   Transmission, distribution or storage of any material in violation of any applicable United States law or regulation coming to or from any unauthorized network or system is prohibited.  This includes, without limitation, material protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property rights used without proper authorization; government and military data protected by law and national security; university and academic data protected by public policy; and material that is obscene, defamatory, constitutes an illegal threat, or violates export control laws.  Any violation of the above which compromises the integrity of 250Free or any other network is strictly prohibited.  250Free will cooperate fully with local and federal authorities in the investigation and prosecution of illegal activity.

Indemnification

You agree not to hold 250Free or its parent company, iSight, Inc., liable for any damages incurred while using this service.  We will not be responsible for any physical, emotional, monetary harm or damages that occur while at 250Free.  We may make changes to our policies at any time, without prior notification to members.  A link to our current terms will be available from our home page at:   http://www.250Free.com.
